Export Data to Excel with Access 2007

It is possible that Access and Excel will be used at the same time by different department and group. Usually, we use Access database to save data and use Excel to analyze data and get the results. At that time, we need to export Access to Excel.

Actually, if we have Access 2007 installed on the system, we can use “Export Guide” to realize this work. We wan export an Access 2007 database object or the report in View to Excel Worksheet. Firstly, click “Extra Data” tab in Access 2007 and then “Export” group appears. Click “Excel” button and open “Export to Excel” dialog box. Then, we can get the data we want to Excel.

Besides, we also can move data in Access 2007 to Excel directly through copying data in Data Table View and pasting the data to Excel.

Firstly, open Access 2007 and then open the table or window containing the report we want to paste. Secondly, Click View button in View menu and then select Data Table View. Copy the report. Next, click Copy in “Clipboard” menu. Open Excel, and open the worksheet which we want to paste data. Click the top left corner of the range where the first file name is presented. Finally, click Paste in Clipboard menu to complete.

The above is based on that Access 2007 and Excel has been installed on system. And if we need to deal with a large amount of data, it takes us a lot of time. In order to make work be more efficient, some developers may choose to use the third party Add-in, which can deal with data export with high speed. What’s more, some free data export components are published for customers. Although these components don’t have some additional features as the paid components, it also can export data quickly and deal with simple format.
